James Cox

James loves supporting Christian leaders and feels very at home with those in ministry. He often wonders: why WOULDN'T we do more to support those who are supporting others?  James is a member of AAOS, and has studied Christian Ministry &Theology, Pastoral Supervision, Spiritual Mentoring and VET Training & Assessing. He sees Supervision as an incredible opportunity for reflective learning, a place for moving seamlessly between encouragement and challenge, and a way to explore issues in creative ways.

Being a visual learner and someone who plays music, he likes working with sounds, images and other creative options.  But if that doesn't float your boat, you can stay well away from all that! 

Location & Cost
James is based in Geelong, and offers in-person and online Supervision.   Cost is $100 per session.

Experience
 James has a strong background in training (VET and workplace settings). He has formally and informally mentored Christian leaders over the years, and loves seeing 'ding' moments occur in those he's working with.  He also has worked in school chaplaincy and pastoral care settings, taking a holistic approach to Christian life and pastoral care. He has a particular interest in the integration of theology and psychology, working towards better mental health, and having honest discussions around identity and sexual integrity in the Christian life.  Unsurprisingly, these areas of interest all come from his own life experiences.
